Building the Systems Pharmacy Has Been Missing

Dr. Marissa Blumenthal is a pharmacist whose work sits at the intersection of clinical care, operational design, regulatory strategy, and population health. As Co-Founder, COO, and CPO of Prosper Rx Consulting, and Co-Founder of the Primary Care Pharmacy Institute, Marissa helps build the infrastructure needed for pharmacists to step into sustainable clinical roles.

With experience across ambulatory care, acute care, specialty pharmacy, telepharmacy, emergency medicine, population health, and health-system operations, Marissa understands the gaps that keep pharmacists from practicing at the top of their license. Her work focuses on turning those gaps into real, compliant, scalable solutions.

Through PCPI, Marissa brings the mindset of a national ambulatory pharmacy director: seeing patterns, removing barriers, designing workflows, and helping pharmacists create patient-care models that work in the real world.

Clinical Architecture

Marissa designs pharmacist-led ambulatory care models, documentation systems, compliance structures, and workflows that allow clinical pharmacy services to function with clarity and accountability.

Operational Backbone

Her approach focuses on building the systems behind the care: legal pathways, billing literacy, IT workflows, outreach models, and the operational structure needed for pharmacist integration.

Pharmacist Leadership

Marissa mentors pharmacists into confident, systems-thinking leaders who can identify problems, design solutions, and create clinical careers that are both meaningful and sustainable.

Creating the jobs that do not exist yet, but absolutely should.

Marissa’s work is rooted in a simple belief: pharmacists deserve safe jobs, strategic roles, and strong leadership, while patients deserve care models that are less fragmented and more human.
